Advice for Your First Visit
We recommend you bring a friend or family member with you to the first appointment to help you through the initial interview and appointment process. There is some paperwork to prepare before your appointment, which can be emailed or mailed to you. You should bring this paperwork and your insurance card.
When you come in for your first appointment, you’ll be greeted by either one of our providers or our friendly front desk staff. Because we are a patient-centered practice, we always like to make sure you feel comfortable while you’re here. You’ll need to fill out some forms before one of our professionals brings you back to the testing room. We will discuss what kinds of problems you may be having and if you are currently trying anything to treat them. This interview helps our team understand each patient’s history and is useful in directing the rest of the testing and treatment. We’ll discuss next steps and what can be done to resolve any issues.
- We’ll perform a formal hearing evaluation. We test your hearing to determine the nature of your hearing loss and the degree of hearing loss you have. We also may test for hearing loss, tinnitus, vertigo, sound sensitivity, or general hearing and balance issues.
- After the testing, we’ll have a consultation session where we will sit with you and discuss some options that will help you manage your hearing loss. We offer treatment and devices in-office, which makes it easy for us to create an individual treatment plan.
